How can you get into an IT company?

Get yourself placed in IT industry

Hey everybody. As we are college students, the majority of we are longing to enjoy our life with happiness and we give very little concentration for our academic purposes(except those nerds and bookworms). The real panic starts when the placements get started. Every topper and geeks will say that they got placed in a reputed company with a top-notch salary package. So, before this approach, we should learn some basics to get placed in the same reputed company. Jokes apart, the IT industry is a huge industry with n number of opportunities and is high paying too regardless of which college you are. There are some simple steps to be followed to get placed in an IT-based company. I will discuss it elaborately like "What should be learned in the first year of your college", "What in the second year of your college", "What are the important topics that should be covered".

Step 1: So, the strategy starts with learning a computer programming language. It could be any language. In placements case, they prefer "C", "JAVA", "PYTHON" and "C++" which plays a major role. You must be the ace in "ANYONE" of the language with proper syntax(procedure), then it is easy to know other languages easily. It's like C++ is a sibling to JAVA language. My opinion is that just start with C language which is easy and base for all languages. This could be done in the first year of our college. Quite a simple task which requires just one hour daily to make it possible.

Step 2: Once you know how to write a language, the second year is the time to learn "DATA STRUCTURES AND ALGORITHMS". These are the areas which are to enable efficient access and modification of data. This takes some time to learn and when you finish this stuff, you get a clear idea about programming.

Step 3: Almost done! It's time to code. When we finish those previous steps, we get a clear knowledge of computer programming which is fun to do. And we eager to do some more code to practice ourselves. This can be done with the help of "COMPETITIVE PROGRAMMING". So, competitive programming is the play area or a sport for programmers to practice and enhance their skills which are usually held over the internet or other local networks. There are many useful websites like "LEETCODE", "INTERVIEWBIT", "HACKERRANK", "HACKEREARTH", "CODEFORCES", "CODECHEF", "GEEKS FOR GEEKS", etc., where they conduct programming contests. This will greatly improve the logical thinking and the way we approach a problem statement.

Step 4: Theory part is always important! Those who are willing to get into IT should know some basics that how a computer works and how it responds. "NETWORKING", "DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM(DBMS)", "OPERATING SYSTEM(OS)", "SYSTEM DESIGN", "DATA STRUCTURES" are some theory parts which are essential. This seems quite difficult from a wide view, but basically, they are way easier to understand when learned with interest. This will help in the Technical interview round.

Step 5: ENDGAME! In the last year of your college life, if you have these skills, you can easily get a job in a reputed company with a top-notch salary package.

Have a great day :)
